Polypropylene multifilament 16-Strand Braided Rope

It is a very popular multi-use rope, usually used as clotheslines, tie-downs, tying rope etc. Polypropylene is a very light material with a density of 0.91, this means a rope in this material will float.  Polypropylene has a moderate resistance to UV and abrasion.  The extension to break is similar to polyester but the strength is not as high.

In comparison with polyamide cords, polyester cords are softer and more flexible in wet condition. It is therefore a popular general -purpose rope in the boating industry, such as mooring lines, anchor lines etc.
